The Department that deals with 20th century design and decorative arts auctions was created with the intention of BLINDARTE to offer enthusiasts and collectors a careful selection of objects, furnishings and furnishing accessories, lighting, glass, signed by most famous masters of Italian and international design.
Among the names and signatures of Italian and international design present in the BLINDARTE auctions dedicated to design, we remember great designers such as Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi, Vittorio Introini, Pietro Fornasetti, Guido Gambone, Carla Ceccariglia, Gae Aulenti, Alessandro Mendini, Bruno Gregori, Riccardo Dalisi, Carlo De Carli, Max Ingrand, Pierre Cardin, Philippe Starck, Ignazio Gardella, Fontana Arte, Archimede Seguso, Italo Varisco, Toni Zuccheri, Carlo Zauli, Fulvio Bianconi and many others.
The sector of 20th century design and decorative arts has seen a major increase in collectors' interest in the last decade, with a particular focus on furniture and decorative objects designed by the great masters of the 20th century. The objects we offer focus in particular on ceramics, glass, lamps and chandeliers, furniture and everything related to the decorative arts.
The Department boasts excellent results at auction, including the Cabinet for the Royal hotel by Gio Ponti, sold for €32,240, Gold and hangnails by Mimmo Paladino and Fuksas, sold for 24,800 both in auction 87 of 2018. But also the Bibliothèques modèle n°P700 by Vittorio Introini, sold for €30,750 in auction 72 of 2015.
