Cherries, lemons and fish on a plane

oil on canvas

within an important golden frame

In the painting, the strong light-shadow contrast and the firm vision of the objects suggest a dating to the years 1660/1670, at the end of the painter's youthful career, still influenced by the naturalistic shots of Luca Forte and by the Caravaggio-esque suggestions of the Roman environment.
