«Perhaps, for a first, brief placement, we can say that Chighine is an informal painter. (And one of the greatest, ever. In the world, I mean. Although many critics have never noticed). But, of course, we must say, immediately afterwards, that the word 'informal', put there to define the painting of Chighine, denounces all its limitations. Because this word makes one think of something deliberately chaotic - while in Chighine’s painting the structure is always solid, evident in its complexity».
