The "Augustan gem" is a cameo in relief on onyx, datable to 12 after Christ and created on the occasion of the triumph of Tiberius, Princeps, Augustus, and future emperor.
After being owned by the imperial family, from Constantine in Byzantium, to the Kings of France and Rudolf II of Habsburg, today it is preserved in the collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna
