Miniature of Augusta Amalia Luisa princess of Bavaria

Augusta was the second daughter of King Maximilian I of Bavaria and his first wife Augusta Wilhelmina of Hesse-Darmstadt.
She was born in Strasbourg on 1788 and married on 13 January 1806 to Napoleon’s stepson Eugene Beauharnais, viceroy of Italy and son of Viscount Alexandre de Beauharnais, an officer in the French royal army, and of the Creole Joséphine de Tascher, better known as Josephine of Beauharnais.
She died in Munich on 13 May 1851.
