The painting is accompanied by a critical card of the scholar Giacomo Lanzilotta that confirms the attribution to the Apulian painter already advanced in the traditional collection of origin by prof. Sergio Marinelli. For the attribution Lanzilotta proposes comparisons with the other three versions of the work: the first at the Pinacoteca civica of Montefortino, the second at the Museo Diocesano of Taranto and the third in Barcelona, in the private collection of the Baroness of MaldΓ .
