Attilio Pratella

(Lugo, 1856 - Napoli, 1949)

Roberto Rinaldi in the volume dedicated to Neapolitan painting of the nineteenth century writes that:

Attilio Pratella moved to Naples from his hometown, without any guidance or protection, supported himself in the first years by decorating in "gouache" the views of Naples on the boxes of pastries, without ever neglecting small landscapes that he then sold to art dealers.
