The people of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, in all their naturalness and expressiveness, were the main source of inspiration for the great masters of Neapolitan nativity scene art.
Among the most famous artists, especially for the creation of faces and heads, the Neapolitan master Giuseppe Cappiello is remembered, to whom the two sculptures presented here are attributed.
