-As reported by Roberto Rinaldi in "Painters in Naples in the nineteenth century"Attilio Pratella was considered among the greatest landscape painters of the Neapolitan school.
He dedicated himself to landscape painting, painting small-sized seascapes and views with particular chromatic freshness.
With time and technique he managed to impose himself on the general public. He exhibited at the Promotrice in Naples, in '85 at the Salon des Artistes and in '87 in Venice, dedicating himself more and more to landscape painting from life in this period.
