Pierre-Yves Le Duc was born in France in 1964. In 1988 he graduated from the Faculty of Italian Language and Literature at the Sorbonne. In these years he began his period of artistic training. During his university period he often went to Italy and, after obtaining a scholarship from the University, decided to settle in Naples with whom he felt a strong bond and a great welcome. He thus came into contact with the protagonists of Neapolitan cultural life, without cutting himself off from other important artistic and cultural centers of Paris. His works are not limited to finding their end in themselves. Instead, they will have to dialogue dynamically, both physically and conceptually, with the space intended to welcome them - and not only, as it must be conceived as the result of a collaborative process. The work proposed here is part of the cycle "The nine muses and the nine poets", designed for the hemicycle of Piazza Plebiscito and exhibited in 1995.
