-
Enrico Cajati, born in 1927 in Naples, began his self-taught training. From a very young age he demonstrated remarkable pictorial ability, participating in the artistic life of the city. Starting from 1949 he exhibited in numerous important exhibitions, receiving significant attention from critics. In 1951 he participated in the VI Quadrennial of Rome; in 1956, just twenty-eight years old, he was invited to the Venice Biennale and presented three landscapes. He combines painting with teaching, first at the De Luca Art Institute in Avellino and then at the Filippo Palizzi Art Institute in Naples where he teaches Decorative Art. The works of maestro Cajati, which have already entered many important private collections, were also exhibited in the beautiful retrospective dedicated to him in 2006 at Castel dell'Ovo.
