As a couple since 1994, Giovanna Bianco (Latronico, 1962) and Pino Valente (Naples, 1967) began an artistic research together based on the analysis of phenomena linked to vision and perception. Fascinated by the concept of body-mind duality, in which the body is understood as a "finite" structure in space and time while the mind - with its carrying of information, emotions, memories - appears instead immaterial and elusive, Bianco-Valente they make use of stimuli from every field (from hard sciences to astrology and literature) to create videos and installations that investigate the processes of brain functioning.
